Second Wave of Covid in Telangana very likely CM KCR instructs Officials to be on Alert

Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister KCR, on 22 November, Directed officials to take preventive measures as the number of COVID-19 cases are increasing in some states.

During a review meeting on COVID-19 held at Pragathi Bhavan here on Sunday, the CM said, “There is a sudden surge of cases in Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Cases are also on the rise in Kerala and Karnataka. A second wave of Corona Virus is likely.

The state should be in a position to withstand the second wave and for this, officials should be alert and ready. Required preparations should be made.” KCR said that despite the increase in the number of tests conducted, the positive cases in the state are less than 10 per cent while the recovery rate is 94.5 per cent. “While the mortality rate is very low yet the government is on high alert and taking all necessary precautions.

All over the state, 10,000 beds with oxygen facilities have been kept ready. We can increase the number. As of date, the situation is very much under control,” the CM said.
