telangana DGP said action against inflammatory speech

Hyderabad: On Thursday, Director General of Police M Mahendra Reddy said the GHMC department was looking into the possibility of legal action against those who made provocative speeches during election campaigns.

Talking to media, he said that provocative speeches of politicians were being legally examined. He also said that the department had specific information that some people were planning to create communal tensions in the city.

After reviewing security arrangements for the formal conduct of elections on December 1 with the police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda, he said 24-hour monitoring was being carried out to ensure free and fair elections.

Rohingyas were also arrested for illegally keeping passports and Aadhaar cards while living in the city reddy said.
