Hyderabad: today Cyberabad VC Sajjanar,commissioner of police said that they have made extensive security arrangements for the peaceful elections in the city. He said he had deployed 13,500 police forces to carry out security duties.
Commisioner of police said that the total force placed was 10500 civilian police and the other 3000 were armed reserve police. He said that he had given electoral training to the police three times. He said that an office of CI and SI rank was posted in general, sensitive, highly sensitive and important police stations.
commissioner Sajjanar said he would monitor polling stations with the help of 177 mobile parties and he had set up 15 border check posts in Hyderabad. He said 587 licensed guns were submitted to him by licensed individuals.
Talking to media, he also said that 38 Strike Force, 11 Special Striking Teams, 9 CP Reserve TRSMA, 11 Flying Squad and 11 Static Surveillance Teams would also perform their duties. He said that there are 38 divisions and 2437 polling stations in the commissionerate. Of these, 1,421 polling stations are routine polling stations, 766 are sensitive and 250 are highly sensitive.
