Hyderabad: A case has been registered against a doctor from Hyderabad working at Osmania General Hospital for allegedly harassing a female doctor.
The victim, who worked as a resident doctor at the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), alleged that Dr. Siddharth was harassing her for getting married and also causing nuisance outside her hostel in a drunken state.
the victim has lodged a complaint with the Punjagutta police. The police have pursued and approached section 354 (d) and 506 .
In her complaint, the victim said that they met on Facebook two years ago when she accepted her friend’s request.
She says she accepts her friend request as a doctor, and the two have many mutual friends, she said. Later, when he proposed to her for marriage, he declined it, but they remained friends.
She alleged that she started bringing marriage proposals and received inappropriate messages from unknown persons.
The complainant continued, “Siddharth initially refused to send the message, but later agreed that he and his friends were sending those messages.”
Punjagutta police have registered a case and are investigating.
