Exhibition of Hyderabad postponed until 31 January

Hyderabad: E.rajendar President of the Exhibition Society said on Thursday that the annual exhibition is being deferred till January 31. After January 31, the situation will be reviewed and a decision will be taken as to when and how the exhibition can be held.

Although marriages and functions were being allowed with a limited number of people, attendance at the exhibition would be much greater and there was a need to follow the Home Ministry guidelines by 31 January, he said at a press conference here.

Regarding the new COVID-19 strain, the Health Minister stated that there were no such cases in Telangana, except the solitary case that was reported after a person returned from the United Kingdom.

He was also responding positively to treatment and would be discharged in a few days.

“The current winter season is favorable for the spread of seasonal diseases. Rajendra said that there is a need to take precautions and follow the current covid-19 guidelines.

On the vaccine, the health minister said that the state is ready to administer the vaccine.

when the central government begins distribution of the vaccine, we will administer it. However, since the vaccine is being manufactured in Hyderabad, we are appealing to the central government to give us the highest priority in the delivery of the vaccine.

In response to a question of irregularities on the allocation of medical seats, the Health Minister said that a committee would be formed to investigate the allegations and a decision would be taken based on its report. Not a single student of Telangana will be harmed, he said.
