461 fresh coronavirus cases and three new deaths in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 461 new COVID cases on Thursday, taking the total to 2,86,815 in the state.

Three new deaths are reported on December 31, 2021, taking the total tally to 1,544.

The state has a mortality rate of 0.53%, lower than the national average of 1.4%.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area registered 108 new cases, while Rangareddy registered 44 new cases.

The districts of Telangana are seeing an increase in cases. Medchal Malkajgiri registered 41 new cases, while Karimnagar registered 31 new cases.

On Thursday, about 617 civilians were recovered from the infection, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,79,456.

According to the government, now the recovery rate is 97.43%, which is almost 1% higher than the national average of 96.1 %.

The government on Thursday tested 42,013 civilians for the virus. So far, 69,24,707 samples have been tested in the state. Samples stand at 1,86,048 per million population tested. Still waiting for 763 reports.

The state currently has 5,815 active cases. Of the total active cases, 3,674 under house separation. Of the total positive cases, 70% are asymptomatic with no serious symptoms while 30% are symptomatic.

According to the state bulletin, men between the ages of 31 and 40 contribute 14.72% of the total cases. Women between 21 and 30 years of age contribute 9.02 % of the total cases. Deaths due to comradity have increased by 55.04 percent. 44.96% of the victims had no comorbidities.
