Hyderabad: Unable to do more harassment at the hands of her alcoholic and abusive husband,on Saturday midnight a woman allegedly murdered her husband at her house in Bapuji Nagar Colony in Kesra.
The couple is identified as Saroja,who is watchman and saroja, both from Warangal and their three-year-old daughter had been living in a temporary shed set up in an open plot on Nagaram Main Road for the last three years.
According to the police, Saroja first accused the plot owner and her employer k.Dasharatha was informed that Shyam was addicted to alcohol, he would often come home drunk and beat her up. The couple often has quarrels over it.
J Narendra Gaur, Inspector Kesra Police said that, on Saturday night, he came home in a drunken state and started abusing Saroja and beat her with a stick. “Saroja grabbed a pestle from the kitchen in the house and hit Shyam’s head,” As Shyam fell to the ground after being hit and could not get up, Saroj thought he was unconscious and sleeping. Later when she tried to wake him up in the morning, she realized that her husband had died on the spot.
Saroja informed her neighbors at around 10 am on Sunday, which alerted the police further and also informed the plot owner. On receiving the information, Kesra police went to the spot and investigated.
on the complaint of the plot owner in the afternoon, the police registered a case of murder and started an investigation. No arrest has been made yet.The body was sent to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy
