Hyderabad: A brief uproar occurred at Punjagutta Junction on Monday morning when the man allegedly attempted to kill himself by being mentally disturbed.
Police said the man identified as Raju of RC Puram was undergoing treatment for mental health disorders and his family members were taking him to the Mental Health Institute in Punjagutta for treatment.
“He moved towards the traffic post and climbed on it. When his family members tried to calm him down, he took a cloth and tried to strangle himself, ”Punjagutta police said.
Later, police took help of TSRTC bus passing through the road and reached the person. He was brought down and handed back to his family members.
