a police inspector salutes his DSP daughter proud moment in Tirupati

Hyderabad: After becoming Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Andhra Pradesh, a police inspector gave a salute to his daughter, eyes filled with moist and feels pride.

It was a proud moment for Inspector Y Syam Sundar attached to the Police Training Center, Chandragiri Kalyani Dam, when he saw his daughte YJC Prasanti of Guntur district in full police uniform.

Syam Sundar met his daughter Prashanti when she came to Tirupati to attend the Police Duty Meet (IGNITE). The proud father first saluted his daughter. Eyes filled with tears of joy as she met his daughter whom he raised with full love and affection. Prashanti is an engineering graduate and a 2018 batch of DSP.

JC Prashanti, DSP of 2018 batch, did not take the civil service examination, “My father wanted me to join the Indian Administrative Service, although I could not make it through the exam.Later I appeared for Group 1 and selected.

Since childhood, my parents had insisted that we serve the nation, my younger sister is an assistant professor at Government Dental College in Andhra Pradesh. “The family is from Chittoor district,” the DSP told.

When his colleagues asked him how he felt, happy Syam Sundar said Prashanti is a DSP rank officer and his superior. “I will salute him like I would wish another officer,” he said.

DSP Prasanti said that his father has always her inspiration and he will try to live with his principles and dedication while discharging his duties. Police officials said relations do not matter when they are performing their duties in uniform.

2018 saw another proud moment when a father-daughter duo came face-to-face with the Telangana police. Former Deputy Commissioner of Police A.R. Umamaheshwara Sarma created a commemoration to salute his daughter Officer Sindhu Sarma, who was then the Superintendent of Police of Jagtial district in Telangana.

Mr. Sarma served as DCP in the Malkajgiri area under Rachkonda Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad before retiring, while his daughter Sindhu Sarma is a 2014 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.

In 2018, the father-daughter duo came face to face while performing their duties at a Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) public meeting in Kongara Kalan on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
