Telangana SSC exams from May 17.

Hyderabad: SSC public examinations will be held from May 17 to May 26, said Principal Secretary of Education Chitra Ramchandran. The Department of School Education’s 2020-21 academic calendar was approved by the government today.
Physical classes for students of classes 9 and 10 will begin on February 1 and they will have 89 working days. The last working day is 26 May and summer vacation is from 27 May to 13 June. This year students will have only six papers.
According to the academic calendar, Formative Assessment 1 (FA1) should be done by 15 March and FA2 by 15 April. Summative assessment will be done from 7 to 13 May. According to the calendar, it is not mandatory to be physically present. Classes and students will be allowed to take the exam even if there is no minimum attendance.
Schools in the districts will be run from 9.30 am to 4.45 pm and in Hyderabad from 8.45 am to 4 pm. Meanwhile, online classes will be conducted for Class 10 students from 10 am to 11 am and for Class 9 from 4 pm to 5 pm.
The principals of the schools were asked to keep the phone numbers of the nearest primary health center or any other medical facility, which may be contacted in an emergency. The schools were also instructed to conduct health check-up for the students and were also asked to arrange for isolation rooms for the students / staff, which have symptoms of COVID-19.
