Hyderabad: 148 new cases of covid-19 and 1 death were recorded in Telangana on Monday. With this, the total number of cases in the state has so far reached 2,93,401, while the death toll is 1,590. So far 2,88,577 patients have been cured of coronavirus infection.
the number of active cases in the state has come down to 3,234 which is currently more than 5,000 a month ago.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is an estimate of the number of deaths in the state compared to the number of infected patients in excess of 0.54 percent. Currently, the country’s average CFR is 1.4 percent. On the other hand the rate of recovery is on the climb and the latest has improved to 98.35 percent.
On Monday, 19,821 samples were tested across the state for Covid-19. With this the total number of tests conducted so far in the state has crossed 76.8 lakhs and Telangana has reached 2,06,404 sample tests per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Monday registered 35 new cases.
This was followed by 11 cases in Ranga Reddy, 10 cases in Karimnagar while less than 10 new cases were reported in all the remaining districts of the state.
