Indian Origin Doctor Fatally Shoots Another Doctor and Commit Suicide in Texas USA

Hyderabad: A 43 years old Indian-born pediatrician with terminal cancer shot and killed himself after being taken hostage at a medical office in Austin, Texas.
Police said the identity of the armed person was Dr. Bharata Narumanchi, who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Police received a call on January 26, in which a man walked into the Children’s Medical Group (CMG) offices with a gun and was holding hostages inside the building, CNN reported, the Austin Police Department issued a press release
Many were initially being held hostage, police said, but many survived and others were allowed to leave, except for a pediatrician named katherine Dodson.
Police said the hostages who escaped the office told officers at the scene that the man was armed with a pistol and appeared with a gun. He also had two duffle bags.

He visited the CMG office a week before the shooting and applied for a volunteer.

In addition to his recent visit, the police were not make a relationship between Dr.Dodson and Dr. Narumanchi.

The hostage negotiators tried to make contact with Narumanchi, but were unsuccessful
The report states that after repeated attempts, SWAT officers entered the building, where they found Dodson and Narumanchi dead with apparent gunfire.

According to a police department news release, “It appeared that Dr. Narumanchi shot himself after shooting Dr. Dodson.” The incident is still under investigation
The Travis County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.
