Hyderabad: Telangana added 152 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total infection count to over 2.94 lakhs, while a fatal incident brought the toll to 1,602.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most cases with 29, followed by Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri with 11 each, with a government bulletin providing details as of 8 pm on Tuesday, 1 February.
The total number of cases was 2,94,739 while the recoveries were at2,91,115.
On Monday, 2,022 patients are undergoing treatment and 36,058 samples were tested.
Cumulatively, more than 79.15 lakh samples have been tested.
The Bulletin stated that the samples tested per million population were more than 2.12 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.54 %, while at the national level it was 1.4%.
The recovery rate in Telangana was 98.77%, compared to 97% in the country.
