Hyderabad: Telangana on Thursday recorded 169 new coronovirus positive cases and one death pushing the total tally to 2,95,270 and death toll stood at 1,607.
Meanwhile, the total recovery cases increased to 2,91,699 with the recovery of 189 persons on a single day.
Currently, there are 1,964 active cases of which 780 are at home or in institutional isolation.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, 37,387 tests were conducted, including 16,450 on primary contacts and 4,486 on secondary contacts.
However, results from 169 samples came out positive and 858 reports are pending. There have been 80,34,038 trials since the epidemic in the state.
Positives in the recorded state include GHMC 31 cases , 10 in Karimnagar, 8 each from Warangal Urban, Jagtial, Rangareddy, 7 from Bhadradri Kothagudem,Mancherial, Nalgonda and Sangareddy, 6 each from Khammam and Peddapalli, 5 from Adilabad, Mahbubnaga, Siddipet, Vikarabad,4 from Suryapet, Warangal Rural, Kamareddy
