Hyderabad: Telangana on Tuesday registered 157 fresh coronavirus cases and one death pushing the total positive cases in the state to 2,95,988 while the death toll stood at 1,613. And total recovery cases increased to 2,92,578 with 163 new cases recovered in a single day.
Currently, there are 1,797 active cases of which 729 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Monday and Tuesday, approximately 29,666 trials were conducted, including 13,053 on primary contacts and 3,559 on secondary contacts.
However, 157 results came out positive and 727 reports are awaited. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in the city, 81,84,013 trials have been conducted so far.
The positive cases recorded in the state include GHMC 27 cases, 10 in Rangareddy, 9 from Karimnagar and Warangal Urban, 8 in Sangareddy and Khammam, 7 each from Mancherial, Bhadradi Kothagudem, Mahbubabad and Nizamabad.
