In an Alarming Survey Around 6.6 lakh people in Hyderabad are estimated to have been infected with Covid-19 over the last 35 days & presently there might be 2.6 lakh active cases, reveals Covid-19 surveillance using sewage samples, by CCMB.
The CCMB has tested sewerage/waste water samples from Hyderabad and Revealed that: No. of potentially COVID infected people, are approximately 6.6 lakhs ( 6.6% of Hyd population) which include symptomatic asymptomatic in the last 35 days.
All the experiments were conducted at the CCMB Covid-19 testing facility and the teams Which included Hemalatha Manupati, Kopperi Harishankar and SVenkata Mohan from CSIR-IICT and Uday Kiran, CG Gokulan, Santosh Kumar Kuncha and Rakesh K Mishra from CSIR-CCMB.
