Two died in accident on national highway

Hyderabad: Two persons were died and one injured in a chain accident on National Highway-65 at Pedda Amberpet in Abdullapurmet on the outskirts of the city in the early hours of Thursday. Police said the accident occurred due to careless driving.

According to the police, a DCM vehicle from Guntur was going towards Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad and another DCM was in front of it. The second DCM crashed into a Toyota Innova parked on the side of the road, killing Hanumant Rao (39) of the Innova driver on the spot and Ramesh, a farmer who was traveling in the first DCM. Police said another person at first DCM was injured in the accident which occurred at around 2.30 a.m.

Other motorists passing by alerted the Abdullapurmet police, who used a crane to remove the vehicles, after which the bodies were removed from the manglet vehicles and transferred to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy . The police have registered a case of death and injury due to negligence and started investigation.
