Hyderabad: A lecturer attempted suicide in front of a junior college under the Chaitanyapuri police station limits in Hyderabad.
The locals foiled his suicide bid and alerted the police shifted the lecturer to the police station.
Zoology lecturer D.Harinath said that he has been working as a lecturer for the last 25 years and has been leading a difficult life for the last 10 months after closing the colleges due to the epidemic.
Harinath said that he was unable to provide food and shelter to his family members due to non-payment due to the closure of the college.
He said that when the colleges were reopened and there was alleged harassment from the Dean, the Dean of the College refused to take them. Harinath said that Dean also refused to let him go to the management to raise their complaints.
The police pacified the lecturer and assured him of providing justice.
