Hyderabad: The second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign began in Telangana on Saturday at Gandhi Hospital. Director of Medical Education (DME) Ramesh Reddy, who received the first pill, has been administered with a second dose.
TIMS director Vimala Thomas also received a second dose of vaccine.
The process of distribution of the vaccine is underway at 140 centers across the state. The first phase of the vaccination delivery program began on January 16 and all health workers who received the vaccine pill in the first phase will be given a second dose of the vaccine.
It is notified that in the second phase people will be given the same vaccine. Officials asked the health staff that those who had not received the vaccine in the first phase could receive it by 25 February. They also clarified that no first shot of the vaccine would be given to health workers later.
