Hyderabad: State BJP MLA Raja Singh today slammed Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi for his comments that the Center is planning to convert the state capital into a union territory.
Calling Owaisi’s remarks wrong, he alleged that the Hyderabad MP had misled all political parties in the country by his speech on the floor of the Parliament.
He alleged that the MP is making a conscious statement and said that the MP has no common sense. Singh claimed that the Central Government had no proposal to make some cities of the country into Union Territories.
He alleged that Asad is trying to get media attention through his statements.
He claimed that Owaisi was making such statements to benefit the ruling TRS party in the upcoming MLC elections in the state.
He also claimed that Owaisi was upset because his party had not secured the posts of mayor and deputy mayor in the recent elections.
