14 died In Andhra Pradesh Bus Accident

Hyderabad: In Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, 14 people, including a child who went on a pilgrimage, were killed in a bus and truck collision on a national highway this morning.

Only four children survived the accident but two of them are in critical condition. Police are collecting details on the basis of Aadhar card and phone number.

The accident occurred near a village in Veldurti mandal in Kurnool district of the state.

The mini bus, carrying 18 people, hit the road dividers at a high speed, fell on the divider and hit a lorry coming from the opposite direction on the other side of the road.
Kurnool Chief of Police Said that “There were 18 people in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The incident took place at Veldurti mandal near Madapuram, around 25 km from Kurnool at 4 am.”

There is no rail service between Madanapalle to Ajmer, which is 1,900 km, people usually travel by road.

“The group was moving from Madanapalle in Chittoor district to Ajmer in Rajasthan,” he said. People were crushed inside vehicles and bodies had to be removed using machinery.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident and his office tweeted: “The road accident in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh is tragic. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones. me Hopefully, the injured will recovered soon. “

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the incident. He directed the authorities to expedite relief work and medical aid, and expressed his condolences to the family members of those who died. He also wished speedy recovery of the injured.
Police are investigating whether the driver was asleep or if the tyre was ripped and the vehicle spun out of control.

Today’s accident came two days after a tourist bus overturned in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. Four people were died and several injured in the accident. The bus fell into a 200-foot valley on the Visakhapatnam Ghat road.
