Hyderabad: A lawyer couple was brutally murdered on their way to Mathani from Hyderabad. The victims were identified as Guttu Nagamani and Vaman Rao, both working as lawyers in the High Court. According to police, the couple was attacked by unknown assailants near Ramagiri with a sickle and a knife while they were on their way to Mathani. The police recorded the statement of Vaman Rao before he was succumbed injured.
According to the statement, one of the attackers was identified as Kunta Srinivas from Gunjapadugu.
Police suspected that there was an old enmity to the couple’s murder. It is learned that Kunta Srinivas warned Vaman Rao several times to get involved in disputed cases.
The suspect Srinivas is working as a Mandal leader from the TRS party.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
