Hyderabad: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) succumbed to coronavirus while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad. 50 years Ramulu was on SI training at the Police Training Center on contracting the virus.
On Wednesday, ASI fell ill at the training center and was shifted to Gandhi Hospital. After the report came out positive he had to undergo COVID-19 tests and was sent to isolation ward. His health condition deteriorated on Friday and he succumbed to the virus.
Meanwhile, 157 coronavirus positive cases were reported in the state on Saturday, out of which the total number of cases was 2,97,435 and the death toll was 1,623. And recovery cases touched 2,94,097 with 157 cases recovered in a single day.
