Hyderabad: Two traders carrying gold jewellery worth Rs 1 crore killed in accident

Hyderabad: Two businessmen carrying gold jewelery worth around Rs 1 crore died after the car in which they were traveling is overturned.

The accident occurred in Peddapalli district of Telangana in the early hours of Tuesday. According to police, the car crashed near Malyalapalli village in Ramagundam Rajiv Rahadari.

While two people died on the spot, two others in the car were seriously injured. Identification of the dead bodies are Srinivas and K. Rambabu, a resident of Narasaraopet in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

The injured Santosh Kumar and Santosh were admitted to the government hospital in Karimnagar.

Both the deceased were gold traders and sold gold jewelery to jewelers in Telangana. They were carrying 1 crore worth of gold jewellery when the accident happened.

A 108 ambulance employee who left for the spot from Godavarikhani found the jewellery and informed the police. Ramagundam police officers praised the ambulance staff for their honesty.
