In Hyderabad’s Old City Explosive material seized

Hyderabad: Task Force Police of South Zone seized a large quantity of explosive material in Falaknuma on Thursday.

The task force and Karimnagar police jointly conducted a search operation in the Old City and identified the explosive material manufacturing unit.

This happened when the police arrested a man in Karimnagar for his suspicious moments.

Based on the information received from the man, the police raided the Old City and found several detonator material manufacturing units.

About 1000 kg explosive material was seized by the police. Police suspected that illegal explosives were being sold in Maoists affected areas.

On 21 February, the police arrested seven Maoists in Telangana Mulugu district and seized explosive material from them.

The CRPF and Telangana Police jointly conducted raids in forest areas along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border and arrested the Maoists. Pressure cooker bombs and other explosive devices were seized from these seven Maoists.
