Driver, bike owner held for fatal road accident in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Miyapur police on Friday arrested two people in connection with a road accident, which resulted in the death of a young pillion rider on a bike on Tuesday night.

Officials said the driver had neither a valid driving license nor a helmet, while the pillion rider also did not wear a helmet.

Police registered a case against D. Madhu, 21 years old the driver and vehicle owner, Pradeep for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and arrested them.
Police said Madhu, who was riding a bike from Karunakar 22 years old, lost control and crashed into the road, killing Karunakar on the spot.

Madhu did not have a valid driving license, was not wearing a helmet and drove a bike.

After the officials were made aware of the fact that Madhu did not have any license, they allowed him to drive his vehicle, officials said, adding that both were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
