Hyderabad: 178 fresh positive cases were reported in Telangana and one died by 8 pm on Friday, taking the total to 2,97,631, while 1,633 died.
The total recovery count increased to 2,95,059 with 148 individuals recovering in a single day.
Currently, there are 1,939 active cases of which 850 are in-home or institutional segregation.
Between Thursday and Friday, approximately 40,821 tests were performed, including 17,961 on primary contacts and 4,898 on secondary contacts. However, 178 results came out positive and 684 reports are awaited. So far 86,59,666 trials have been conducted in the state, due to the epidemic.
Positive cases reported across the state include 30 from GHMC, 15 from Rangareddy, 10 from Karimnagar, 8 from Adilabad and Sangareddy, 7 from Nalgonda and Rajna Sircilla, 6-6 from Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad.
