Twelve students tested positive for Covid19 in school Sangareddy.

Sangareddy: Twelve students from the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) tested positive for corona virus in Sangareddy district Ts. The infected students belong to 9, 10,Standard and intermediate level. They had came back to hostels six days ago.

According to a report in Times of India, out of 132 students and 18 staff members who undergone the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), 12 were found to be Corona Virus positive.

On 27th Feb , fresh samples of students and staff members who tested negative were taken for RT-PCR tests. Reports of the fresh tests are expected today.

District Education Officer of Sangareddy, N Rajesh, told that the RAT tests were conducted after a student who complained of breathlessness and severe cold found Corona test positive.

Attempts are being made to find out how Corona spread on the campus, he added. On Sunday, some parents visited the campus to pick their daughters back home. However, they were told to wait for the results of RT-PCR tests.

Meanwhile, officials said that all Corona precautions were followed in classrooms and hostels. Students were provided masks and sanitizers, they added.
