Hyderabad: On Wednesday, about 71 individuals caught by the city’s traffic police for driving under the influence of alcohol were sentenced to imprisonment by a local court.they were imprisoned for a period ranging from one day to 12 days.
During a routine investigation on Monday night, the traffic police apprehended 188 people for driving while intoxicated.
All those arrested by the police were produced in the local court, who imposed a fine of Rs 8.6 lakh on them apart from the jail term.
