Hyderabad: A fire broke out in an apartment complex in Uday Nagar in Banjara Hills here on Thursday afternoon. No one was injured in the incident; Police said there was a possibility of fire from a short circuit.
The incident occurred when a resident of Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, went to Srisailam after locking the house in view of Shivaratri a few days ago. Neighbours who saw thick fire and smoke from the flat on the third floor of the multi-storey building informed the police and fire brigade, after which a fire brigade rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. There was also a big explosion due to the possibility of LPG cylinder in the house.
The incident caused panic in the surrounding.Banjara Hills Police is investigating.
