AIMIM Has Made a Formal Electrol Entry in Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad : AIMIM has opened its First account in the municipal elections held in Andhra Pradesh on March 10. The party’s candidate, Mama Jignu, registered victory at ward No. 16 of Hindupur municipality in Anantapur district . The AIMIM has fought municipal polls in 47 wards, mostly from Rayalaseema, but Able to win only one seat.
But with this victory in a ward in Hindupur, the AIMIM has made a formal electoral entry in Andhra Pradesh.


Mama Jignu got 883 votes and won with a majority of 123 votes against Rival YSRC candidates Syed Ayesha. Jignu thanked the voters for giving her a chance. She promised to work for the ward’s development and work hard to resolve the water problem in the Ward. She hoped that AIMIM Party would emerge as a strong force in the state soon.

AIMIM contested in 47 wards across 71 municipalities and 12 municipal corporations, which went for polling. The AIMIM fielded candidates at the wards with a sizeable population of minorities.

The AIMIM polled a Performed good percentage of votes in the wards it contested in Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, Kadapa, and Nandikotkur municipalities.
Two candidates, who contested in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), Came in third place after YSRC and TDP.
The campaign conducted by the party President Asaduddin Owaisi had Motivate the party cadre. His solidarity with protests opposing the privatisation of the Vizag steel plant also impacted voters across the state. The AIMIM candidates, who contested the polls, said that they would now seriously focus on strengthening the party across Andhra Pradesh and fight for public issues.
