Hyderabad teacher sold drugs after losing job in lockdown

Hyderabad: A dance teacher from Kukatpally in Hyderabad has been arrested on charges of drug abuse in Nagpur. It is said that due to the epidemic, Shiv Shankar 27 years old turned into a drug peddler.

The man was caught on Saturday midnight on Wardha Road near Panjari with 91 kg of ganja valued at Rs 14 lakh.
Police said the former dance teacher was going to Delhi to deliver drugs when he was stopped.

According to the police, Shiv Shankar worked as a dance teacher at a prestigious school in Hyderabad, with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000. He lost his job in lockdown.
“The man, who is a father of two children, looked for several jobs to take care of his family, but found nothing. He was later introduced to a drug-peddling racket by a fellow teacher, for which he was paid 10,000 rupees per visit.”police said
