Hyderabad: An engineering final year student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a multi-storey building at Maisamaguda in Petbasheerabad here on Tuesday.
The victim, Chandrika 23 years old, was studying civil engineering from a private college, who was a resident of Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district. She was staying in a hostel here.
Police said Chandrika, who had been visibly depressed for the past few days, jumped from the terrace on the fourth floor.
She died on the spot due to severe bleeding injuries on his head and other parts of the body.
The watchman, who was vigilant with a loud voice, found him soaked in blood.
On receiving the information, Petbasheerabad police have registered a case and started investigation.
No suicide note was found. Police suspect that she was depressed by her poor performance in academics.
The body was sent to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy
