Hyderabad: On monday night,man killed his wife, allegedly in a inebriated condition at his house at Takkalapalli Thanda in Yacharam Mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
Police said that suspected to have axed her to death.
The couple were identified as R.Srinu 50 years old and R.Lalitha alias Lalli 45 years old both construction workers who had frequent quarrels over Srinu’s drinking habit and other trivial issues.
Srinu would often come home drunk and pick up a quarrel and beat Lalita. For the past few months, Srinu was allegedly harassing his wife constantly.
On Monday night too, he came home unconscious and when Lalitha confronted him for wasting money for drinking alcohol, he allegedly killed her.
“After a heated argument with his wife, Srinu grabbed the weapon and attacked her several times.
Police said she suffered severe bleeding injuries and died on the spot.
On being alerted by the couple’s neighbours, Yacharam police rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
Srinu was taken into custody. The body was sent to the hospital for autopsy.
