Hyderabad: A man drowned after being dragged into the water by his friends for a bath.
The incident took place in Kondapur in Ghatkesar here on Sunday evening.
A case of guilty was registered against the victim’s friends.
In the description, the victim went to a pond with his friends, who descended into the water to take a bath. They asked him to take a bath in the water but he refused even though he did not know how to swim.
However, his friends dragged him into the water, despite his disapproval, saying that he would get rid of his fears. Minutes later, the victim began to drown and his friends tried to save him but in vain.
The local villagers alerted the police who reached the spot and started a search for the victim. Two hours after the search, the police recovered the body. A case has been registered.
