Hyderabad: In Shamshabad, on Tuesday night, a man allegedly killed his eight-month-old daughter by throwing her into a water sump.
According to the police, the barber by profession, Vikram, lived with his wife and daughter in Thondapally under the Shamshabad police station limits.
On Tuesday night, Vikram’s wife and neighbours began searching for the missing child from the house.
While trying to locate the infant, Vikram himself told a friend that he had thrown the child in a water sump in his house.
“Immediately, the neighbours took the baby out of the water sump and took her to the hospital where doctors declared her dead. Vikram suspected that his wife had an illicit relationship with someone and killed the child, ”said Y. Prakash Reddy, SHO (Shamshabad).
