Cyberabad police busted a sex racket

HYDERABAD: The cyberabad police busted an online human trafficking racket on April 13. They also rescued 5 women, three from uzbekistan and two from delhi from lemon tree hotel, madhapur.

Based on a tip-off, the anti-human trafficking unit along with the Madhapur police raided the hotel on Tuesday where they found that the women had arrived from Delhi by air around three days ago. They were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the hotel where rooms were already booked in their names. They identified themselves as tourists and checked into the hotel

When the police interrogated the womens claimed that they had been forced into prostitution by the organizers.The police also arrested a customer named Manikandan who worked for an MNC in the city. The police seized ₹29,650 cash and 8 mobile phones from the organizers.

The organizers are now absconding and the women are shifted to a rescue home.
