HYDERABAD: On Monday a 15-year-old attempted suicide by consuming mosquito repellent at her house. When the victim was shifted to the hospital she said to her parents that she attempted suicide because getting sexually exploited several times in the past when she used to be alone at home. Usually, she used to be alone at home as her parents are workers.
The accused is her house owner aged 30 years, he is married and has children too.
The girl is recuperating in the hospital and “we are yet to make any arrests in the case,” said Jagadgirigutta inspector P Saidulu.
Police registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
