Despite the rain, Hyderabad remains warm

Hyderabad: Though the friday afternoon saw cloudy skies and showers that cooled the city, the maximum temperature recorded in the city.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) was 36.8 degree Celsius

While several Automated Weather station (AWS) in different parts of the city recorded a slight decrease in temperature for some time on Friday, it continued after a hot day.


Apart from being cloudy, some areas of the city received 0.5 mm and 5.3 mm rainfall in Maradpally, Bahadurpura, Bandlaguda, Charminar and Saidabad areas along with rain.

The maximum rainfall of 5.3 mm was recorded in AWS at Indiranagar Community hall in Bandlaguda.
Apart from this, AWS also recorded light rain in Rajendranagar and Uppal areas.

According to IMD, the city is likely to receive rain or thunderstorms by the evening of April 19, while the maximum temperature is likely to be around 37 degrees Celsius and may even reach 38 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 24.1 degrees Celsius and was to be expected as per IMD forecast for the next few days.
