Telangana government is monitoring the availability of oxygen

Hyderabad: The state government is working closely with the central government to ensure that there is no lack of oxygen for covid patients in Telangana. “Currently, we are able to manage with the existing stock. However, if matters continue to increase, we will also struggle due to lack of oxygen supply.

To avoid such situations, on a daily basis, we are communicating our existing stock to the Central Government.

We have also urged the Center to allow industrial oxygen to be used for medical purposes, ”said Rajendra.

He said that the Health Department has at least 60,000 beds available for covid patients in Telangana and people should not panic over the availability of beds.

He said, “Only 10 to 20 specialized hospitals in Hyderabad have no empty beds. We have allowed all private hospitals with 10 to 20 beds to treat covid patients and the treatment is completely decentralized.”

A special center will be set up in the next few days at Drug Control Administration (DCA) Vengalraonagar to issue Remdesvir to patients or their relatives.

“We will start a center at the DCA office, where relatives of covid positive patient can have direct access to market rewards.

They must present a complete description of the patient with a prescription. After discussing the request, Remdesvir will be issued” Rajender said.
