Hyderabad: With the rise in coronavirus cases, the Telangana Cinema Theater Owners Association (TCTOA) on Tuesday decided to close theaters from today. Following the decision, upcoming releases such as Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, Ishq and Virata Parvam were postponed.
Cinema theaters are seeing less decline due to increase in cases.
A member of the association said, “The last release was Vakeel Saab which hit theaters on April 9 and there will be no release in the near future.
” It is known that the government imposed curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till May 1. Accordingly, second shows and late night shows in Telangana have been cancelled as the government directed theaters and multiplexes to close at 8 pm
