Former Ex Huzurabad MLA Ketiri Sai Reddy passed away

Hyderabad: Former MLA Ketiri Sai Reddy passed away on Friday due to health issues. He was 76 years old.

Sai Reddy, who was suffering from various health problems, suffered a heart attack in the morning at his residence on Friday.

He is survived by wife Pushpamala, sons Rajapratapa Reddy and Srikanth Reddy and daughter Chaitanya Reddy.
After knowing the news of Sai Reddy’s death, local MLA and Health Minister Etala Rajender expressed condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the departed leader.

He is born on January 15, 1945 at Jupaka, Huzurabad.he studied up to class four in Chelpur and did her schooling from Hanamkonda, degree from College of Arts and Sciences in Hanamkonda.

Completed MA (Political Science) from Osmania University.

Sai Reddy worked as a UDC in the Warangal Sub-Collector office. Later, he resigned from the job.
After completing his LLB in Hyderabad, he joined the Reserve Bank, but later moved to practice law in the Huzurabad court in 1967.

Sai Reddy, who joined the Telangana Praja samiti formed by former Chief Minister Marri Chenna Reddy in 1967, played a key role in the 1969 Telangana movement.

He was sentenced to six months imprisonment in Warangal Central Jail.

He entered politics in 1972 as sarpanch of Jupka. He also served as Huzurabad Panchayat Samiti president in 1974 and 1981.
In 1989, he won as an MLA from the Huzurabad constituency as an independent candidate.

In 1994, he contested from Kamalapur constituency and defeated by Muddasani Damodar Reddy. He lost again to E. Peddreddy from Huzurabad in 1999. Sai Reddy, who has been away from active politics since 2009, joined TRS in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at a meeting held in Shalapalli in 2018.
