Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to vaccinate the entire population irrespective of the age limit in the state.
He said that apart from the population of the state in Telangana, those who have come from different states and are working in different areas, have a population of about 4 crores and 35 lakh of them have already been vaccinated. Everyone else will be vaccinated for free.
The CM said that it would cost more than Rs 2500 crore to vaccinate everyone, and that the amount is worth spending, keeping in mind the importance of people’s lives.
KCR issued instructions to this effect to the Chief Secretary of the state and the officials of the Department of Medical and Health.
Accordingly, CM directed that all the necessary steps should be taken for vaccination.
CM further said that already bharat biotech is producing vaccine and furthermore many institutes including Reddy Labs are coming forward to produce vaccines and hence there will be no reduction in vaccination.
In addition to the vaccination program, the CM said, necessary steps will be taken to see that there is no shortage of Remedisvir as well as other medicines needed for corona and also oxygen.
The CM assured that the government will do its best to save the people from Corona and there is no need to be panic.
He said that a large-scale sanitation program would also be conducted.
The CM said that the government would take all necessary care either for hospital beds or for medicines.
However, CM said that people should not be careless in their day-to-day life.
The CM appealed to the people not to allow any mass gathering and participation in the processions.
He also appealed to the people that unless it is absolutely necessary, they better avoid coming out.
The CM said that the welfare of the people is very important for the government and will do all that can be done to save them from Corona.
