The accused are identified as A Laxmi Narsimha Reddy aged 37 an actor from Masjid Banda in Gachibowli and his associate M Jayanthi Goud aged 31.The Cyberabad police on Tuesday arrested the actor and his associate for allegedly duping a woman of over Rs 85 lakh by promising to start a business venture with her at Gandipet area of Hyderabad. According to the police, Laxmi Narsimha Reddy contacted complainant Sindhura Reddy aged 31 a businesswomen from khajaguda.In 2017 saying that he had four acres ofat Gandipet worth Rs 100 croreIn August, 2017, the complainant had an agreement with Laxmi Narsimha Reddy to invest Rs 1 crore in a business with him.Sindhura paid Rs 85 lakh in cash and through cheques, to develop a swimming pool, a pub, game zones and other things in the land of the accused. Even after the amount was invested, the accused failed to show any development on the said land as per the agreement,” a police officer said.When sindhura asked Laxmi Narsimha Reddy to return the amount, the accused threatened her with dire consequences and also tried to blackmail her by showing some of her photos taken during their interaction.
