Hyderabad: Counting of votes for the high-stakes contest in four states and Puducherry is under way. As per the latest trends, the TMC has surged ahead of BJP in West Bengal. The DMK is comfortably ahead in Tamil Nadu and the LDF has widened its lead in Kerala. In Assam, NDA has crossed the majority mark.
In West Bengal, the Trinamool has taken a lead on 214 out of the 292 seats that went to polls. The BJP is a distant second with leads on 76 seats, and the Congress was ahead in one constituency.
Tamilnadu Latest trends in counting show the DMK alliance in the lead in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results. The party and its allies, including the Congress, are ahead in at least 146 seats, while the ruling AIADMK is up in 86 seats.
