Telangana state education common entrance(TS EdCET 2021)

Hyderabad: Students wishing to become teachers can now apply for telangana state education common entrance(TS Ed CET) for admission two-year B.Ed courses in colleges.

Osmania University which is conducting the examination has recently announced a new pattern of examination and schedule.
Applicants should have passed or appearing for any Bachelor’s degree B.A,BCom,BSc,BSc(home science),BCA,BBM,BA(oriented language),BBA,Bachelor in Engineering or technology or master’s degree.

The candidates should have obtained at least 50 percent aggregate marks (40 percent marks for SC / ST / BC categories) in the qualifying exam.

the Computer Based Entrance Examination will be conducted on 24 and 25 August in two shifts i.e. from 10 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 5 pm.

An preliminary key will be declared on 31 August and objections to the same will be accepted by 3 September, while the results will be declared on 12 September.

From this year, there will be a general paper for all subjects. This means in the subject / content section, candidates will have questions from Mathematics, Science and Social Studies subjects. Earlier, the candidates had to choose one of the subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, English and Oriental languages.

The entrance test consists of 150 questions including 60 questions from subjects (20 questions from Mathematics, Science and Social Studies), 20 from Teaching aptitude, General English and Computer Awareness, 30 questions from General Knowledge and Educational Issues.

The question paper which will be in English / Telugu and English / Urdu will have to be answered in two hours.

Questions will be prepared in Telangana State Syllabus – Mathematics, Science and Social Studies in classes up to 10 in the subject / content section.
The minimum qualifying marks (except SC / ST) in the entrance examination for all candidates is 25 percent of the total marks. However, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for SC and ST candidates for ranking. Candidates will be ranked on the basis of marks obtained in TS EDCET 2021.

Online registrations through https://edcet.tsche.ac.in/ have started and the last date to apply without late fee is 15 June. The fee for the entrance examination is Rs 650 (Rs 450 for SC / ST/PH Candidates).
