CM chandrashekar rao:No lockdown in telangana

Hyderabad: The state government of Telangana will not endanger the financial system of the state by imposing partial or total lockdown.

Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao held his first official meeting on 19 April when he was locked in his Siddipet farmhouse.

He asked his employees to tell the state officials that there was no need for a lockdown.

More than 250,000 to 300,000 employees from other states work here, and the state cannot afford to leave them and not return, as it did during last year’s lockdown.

Apart from this, the state has a bumper yield of paddy and procurement is on at 6,144 centers in the state.

Hundreds of thousands of people are involved in the process. What will happen to the laborers from other states and those working in rice mills when the lockout is implemented? The entire paddy procurement process will come to a standstill, Rao said

“Therefore, we are not ready for lockdown. But, we will identify areas with maximum number of cases and declare them as micro-level control zones,” Rao said.

In addition, he contacted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone and told him about the lack of oxygen from Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu and Bellary in Karnataka,Rao said

“Since Hyderabad is a medical hub, people from the border states also depend on Hyderabad for medical care.”

As per the requirement of 25,000 only 4,900 Remedisvir vials are available. The central government has so far supplied 5 million doses of the vaccine.

He asked the Prime Minister to ensure stock replenishment of 200,000–250,000 doses per day.
