Third Oxygen Express reaches Hyderabad with 64.24 tonnes

Hyderabad: The Third Oxygen Express arrived at the Sanathnagar Goods Complex here today, bringing 64.24 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) filled with five tankers.

These tankers were loaded from Odisha and reached Sanathnagar Goods Complex today.

The third Oxygen Express of Hyderabad has reached Sanathnagar Goods Complex on today or 12th May, 2021.

The train has brought 64.24 MT liquid medical oxygen (LMO) loaded in 5 tankers.

These tanks were first dispatched from Sanathnagar Goods Complex on 09 May 2021 in an empty condition.
The third Oxygen Express was transported from Angul,Odisha for a distance of 1213 kms in a short period of about 27 hours, with the train traveling at an average speed of 45 kmph from its starting station.

To ensure that the train reaches the destination at the fastest possible time, the railways have created a green corridor route for the smooth and fast movement of these oxygen special trains.

In addition, route mapping was done to ensure that the movement of tankers by the railways is smooth about the route of curves, ROB, RUB, FOB, etc., with sufficient height clearance.

To provide safe, secure, hassle-free and fast transportation of oxygen to various parts of the country, Indian Railways has started operating oxygen express trains across the country, during these critical times.

These trains are operated at the request of the state governments. Accordingly, all the Oxygen Express trains from Telangana were operated in both directions (empty and loaded condition) from Hyderabad region to Odisha.

SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya complimented the officials for timely action for the quick delivery of the Oxygen Express train, hassle-free and LMO.

He advised all the Divisions to be attentive and proactive to meet the future needs of running more Oxygen Express Trains.
