Four hours means a lot in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: What used to be happen 24 hours, or most of it started happening in four hours in hyderabad from Wednesday. After the lockdown came into force from 10 a.m, people were seen making the best use of the four-hour, which began at 6 a.m., lining up at vegetable markets, supermarkets and departmental stores.

In many supermarkets, people were seen waiting in long lines to maintain physical distance and buy essential items while wearing face masks.

On the other hand, large crowd were seen in vegetable markets in Saidabad, Falaknuma and Secunderabad, leading to traffic jams in the streets.

“There is rest from 6 o’clock in the morning, I thought I should buy vegetables in the early hours. However, to my surprise, the market quickly became crowded. I could not go in and buy vegetables sold near the gate,said Nagender, a customer at the Saidabad market.

The announcement of the lockdown surprised fruit traders as they brought several fruit trucks to the city.

Their effort was to get as many sales as possible in a four-hour. “Looking at the festival and the summer season, a truckload of watermelons and muskmelon was arrived on Tuesday.

The lockdown announcement came as a surprise to us. Stocks cannot be stored for a long time. Therefore, we decided to sell the stock directly to the people, ”said Srikanth, one of the truck owners.

While most restaurants remained closed, some hotels, roadside and mobile tiffin centers did brisk business.

Liquor shops, which went crazy on Tuesday immediately after the lockdown was announced, saw several queues since morning.

The lockdown cast its shadow on people visiting colony parks for morning walks, jogging and yoga.
