Hyderabad: The manager of a private hospital in the city allegedly committed suicide in his house in Gandipet village here on Friday.
police suspect that he was under work pressure and ended his life. The victim has been identified as P. Harish Kumar (35), who lives with his wife and two children in an apartment in Snehitha Hills in Gandipet village in Narsingi.
Harish was working in a hospital in Banjara Hills, while his wife Lakshmi Prasanna worked in a private bank.
According to the police, Harish, who complained of illness, had not gone to work for two days and was at home.
Police said that he looked depressed and was also taking some medicines, on Friday he told his wife that he was unwell and went to the bedroom.
Even after a long time, when he did not return, his wife became suspicious and knocked on the door. On receiving no response, he informed the family.
“The door was forcibly opened and he was found hanging from the ceiling fan. His family members and neighbours tried to take him to the hospital, but he was dead by then, ”police said, adding that preliminary investigation showed that he was depressed due to work pressure.
Narsingi Police has shifted to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem and is investigating.
